Raja Raman V

Welcome to my page. My name is Raja Raman V. I have been working in the Information Technology sector since 1983. My IT experience commenced in April 1983, with 14 years in India, 20 years in UK and the rest in NZ

I learnt to turn wood from Geof Woollvin in 1999, at Elsenham, UK, after meeting him at the Hatfield Forest event on wood turning in the same year. Not only did I learn to turn wood from Geof but also learnt about safety with woodturning. While work kept me busy, I took to wood turning again in 2018, when I moved to New Zealand. Shane Hewitt helped me hone my skills after the long gap and in addition, I also learnt resin inlay work from him

Working with wood, I would like to push my boundaries to achieve something unique every time. Products I make are not for sale. They are either gifted to friends & family or retained for personal use
