Following blogs (like this one) is a great way of keeping up with news, articles and events for the things that matter most to you.
However it can be difficult to know if and when new content has become available without checking in regularly.
RSS Readers are Apps which aggregate the latest online news and blog content you subscribe to in one handy place, for easy reading, sharing, or bookmarking for later.
If you want to be the first to know when we upload great new content such as demonstration videos, subscribe to our blog:
Have an iPhone? A popular RSS Reader for iPhone is Newsify. Download from the App Store and add the club's URL for the RSS Feed: https://northlandwoodturners.nz/1/feed
Have an Android phone? A popular RSS Reader is Feedly. Download the App and set up the club's RSS Feed URL: https://northlandwoodturners.nz/1/feed
Once set up you will automatically receive notifications on the App each time a blog or video is posted on the club's website.

At tonight's club meet Bob Langford took to the figurative skies with his winged bowls demonstration.
When you first see these gorgeous and unusual bowls you wonder how such an effect could even be achieved on a lathe, but Bob expertly demystifies the process by showing a "safe" method (because fingers are precious) and a slightly trickier method for the brave and the skilled.
Stay tuned for the videos which will be posted soon.
Shane demonstrates how, after cutting two outer rings, a well designed bowl can be turned. By adding a couple of beads on the side and a design on the base, the bowl jumps out with elegance. The use of sharp tools make the job look very easy and leaves a very smooth finishing cut.
Events at the club are blogged by Bonny Rowson, summarising the club night's activity. Club videos are captured, edited and posted by Raja Raman V.
